Song, Dance & Drama Night

Performing Arts Captain, Jaden and Rhiannon, hosted this year's 'Song, Dance & Drama Night'

This term, The Lakes hosted their annual 'Song, Dance and Drama Night' on the 25th of May. This event was to showcase all of the unique talents of The Lakes students that were in a performing arts class or elective. It was held in the middle years gymnasium, which was something different to what we have done in previous years. There was a range of performances, including dance, drama, band, choir, guitar ensemble and drumline. We also saw a few solo drummers perform. A feature of the evening was a preview to our upcoming production 'Shrek the Musical Junior', which will be held on the 23rd and 24th of October. The teachers we would like to thank for all their hard work and dedication throughout the year are Marc Heenan, Nadia Petrov, Andrew Rogers, Aimee Freind and Jemma Craig.

All of the profit that we made in their showcase has gone towards the upcoming production. We raised over $1500 which was a great success.
