No Canteen
There will be no canteen this Friday.
Divisional Cross Country
A huge well done to Jordy A (age 10 girls) and Ava M (age 11 girls) who both competed at the Regional Cross Country at Yarra Glen on Tuesday 13th June. Both girls ran personal bests and represented Marlborough PS in our Maroondah district. Jordy’s result of 21 is outstanding and Ava’s of 43 - true brilliance given the competitive field of athletes. Thank you to their parents who transported the girls to and from the venue.

AFL Clinics - Friday 23rd June
Last Friday MPS students from Prep to Grade 6 participated in one of 3 AFL clinics with SEDA students from Hawthorn East. Students practised their handball and kicking skills and later played a modified game of AFL. Selected students from grades 3 to 6 will be participating this week in the Boys and Girls AFL Gala Days - we wish our Girls and Boys teams the best of luck!
Thanks to all staff for their help on the day.

Games Area Ready to Open
Hooray! We are ready to open our outdoor games area.
On Friday we will be having a small ceremony at 11.00 am, cutting a ribbon, and declaring the games area open.
Thanks to the students who submitted entries in the naming competition. There were a number of fantastic entries but after much consideration, I have decided that the winner is Zaiden F from 34A who came up with the name ‘Strategisers’. Congratulations Zaiden, you will be cutting the ribbon on Friday! The name will be displayed on the shed soon.
A very special thankyou once again to David (Nika’s dad) for putting the shed together in his own time.
Thanks to everyone for your support, and let the games begin!

Canteen Helpers Needed
Casserole Bank
We are in urgent need of more volunteers to:
- contribute a meal
- to take over the coordination at the end of 2017 & beyond
The Casserole Bank aims to have a store of meals kept at the school in the canteen deep freeze to assist families that may be struggling, going through a challenging time, have a new baby etc it is a wonderful way to support fellow Marlborough families.
Please consider if this is something you would like be involved with - it is an amazing community service in our school.
