For many years, the staff and Year 10 students have participated in Immersion Experiences to St Mary’s at Bowraville, St Joseph’s at Walgett and St Edmund’s at Wahroonga. Immersions are very special opportunities to find connection between Faith, Catholic Social Teaching and Service Learning. The students will join these communities for five days where they will be able to experience first-hand the challenges and strengths of communities facing challenge. The staff and students will participate in a number of workshops to ensure they are thoroughly prepared for the social, cultural, physical and emotional experiences they may face.
We wish them God’s blessing in their preparation and journey for their Immersions from 28th November to 2nd December.

This week the Edmund Rice Society gathered all the men’s toiletries kindly donated by Year 8 and other students and and created 55 Christmas Gift Bags for the homeless men of Matthew Talbot Men’s Hostel. These bags all have a toothbrush and toothpaste, soap, shaving cream and two razors, deodorant and another special toiletry item such as a comb or hairbrush. These gift bags will be delivered to Matthew Talbot Hostel by Mr Steinman and some of our Year 10 students when they assist with the evening meal on Wednesdays .
Thank you to all the families who helped make this possible with their donations.
