Expressions of interest sought

MCC is considering creating some new positions on staff.  These would be new roles rather than replacements for existing staff.  Full job descriptions and selection criteria are still being finalised but we are keen to hear from those who might be interested.  Feel free to make it known to those you think may be suited to a position on our staff.   All employees at MCC must be supportive of the school's Christian ethos and committed to Christian education.

1.   Kitchen Garden workers -  for some time we have wanted to create our own kitchen garden.  It could be something along the lines of a Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden. These have proven to help children develop 'positive food habits for life.' We would require a kitchen garden coordinator which could be a paid part time position.  The role would include setting up and maintaining garden beds as well as  implementing hands-on teaching programs that help students develop right attitudes to food and healthy eating.  We would also likely require volunteers to assist in the maintenance of the program.

2.   Assistant Business Manager  -  The administrative burden at school continues to grow.  We're interested in finding someone who can assist with some or all or the following: marketing and promotions, facility management, compliance, preparing funding applications, accountability reports,  bookkeeping, ordering supplies, and more.  Skills in using MYOB or similar accounting software would be advantageous as well advanced computer skills and some experience in developing and documenting policies.  This would likely be a part time role.  Responsibilities and work hours would be negotiable.
