Assemblies and Reconciliation

The prayer for the Infants assembly this week will be led by 1/2A and 3/4GM will share a prayer for the Primary assembly on Wednesday afternoon. 

8G will lead the Secondary assembly on Friday morning.

5/6P will attend the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Thursday morning at 9am.

3/4M Primary Mass

This Friday, 15 March at 9:15am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Miss McLeod and her Year 3/4 class will be leading the Primary Mass. The theme for this mass is 'Lent' and it will focus on how Lent is a time for Prayer, Fasting and Giving Alms to others. 

Families and friends are welcome to attend the 3/4M Mass on Friday, 15 March at 9:15am.

Project Compassion Boxes

Each class across the school was given a Project Compassion Box at last week's Ash Wednesday Liturgy. Students are encouraged to place money in the boxes or their change from the canteen etc. Each Friday, the boxes are sent to the office to have the money collected and counted. Thank you for your continued support.

Faces of Project Compassion - Week 1

Thandolwayo, a 12-year-old girl in Zimbabwe, would walk seven kilometres each day to collect contaminated water for her family. She then went to school exhausted from hours fetching and carrying water.

It looked like she would never realise her hope of finishing her education and becoming a nurse, until a Caritas Australia supported project created access to clean water helping Thandolwayo to stay at school and achieve a future full of hope.

Lives change when we all give 100%.

Fish Friday

In week 9 on Friday, 29 March there will be extra fish items available from the canteen for students to order for lunch. More information we be available next week. 

Help Needed!

I have purchased some fabric/material for the classrooms which will be used on the classes prayer table to help students identify and have a greater understanding of the liturgical colours used throughout the year. I am looking for some people who would be willing to cut and overlock the edges of the fabric so it doesn't fray.
