HEIDE EXCURSION

On Wednesday 24 July, Year 8J and 8B attended a fully sponsored excursion to Heide Park and Art Gallery in Bulleen. 

This was the first time the college has taken a school group to Heide which is a privately owned gallery and parkland with an interesting history as part of Melbourne's original modern art movement in the 1930's. 

While at the gallery, students were given a general tour of all three art spaces by well informed education staff, had a walk around the expansive sculpture garden and examined some of the artworks from the collection, with a focus on Indigenous artwork. We hope to make many more visits to Heide in the future.
