Shepparton Young Instrumentalists Award 2019

 

Congratulations to the following students who performed at the 2019 SYIA on Saturday 31st August at Eastbank. Students spent months preparing for the Awards and then bravely performed for the audience and adjudicators.

Isabella O’Dwyer, Year 7: Percussion solo for students learning less than 12 months (1st place); Piano solo 13 years and under.

Isabela Bace, Year 9: Piano solo 16 years and under.

Lydia O’Rourke, Year 7: Piano solo for students learning less than 12 months (Honourable Mention), Piano duet 13 years and under.

Angelina Berry, Year 7: Piano solo for students learning less than 12 months (Honourable Mention), Piano duet 13 years and under.

Mia Popelier, Year 7: Piano solo for students learning less than 12 months (3rd place), Piano duet 13 years and under (Honourable Mention).

Alex Phillips, Year 7: Piano solo for students learning less than 12 months (1st place), Piano duet 13 years and under (Honourable Mention).

Chloe Burgmann, Year 10: Woodwind solo 16 years and under (2nd place).

Abbigail Makin (year 11) and Hamish Nelson (Year 10): Musical Theatre Vocal Duet, performing a song from our Musical, “13” (2nd place).

Hamish was also awarded Most Promising Vocalist out of all the vocalists who performed on the day!

Thank you to Mrs Charlotte Drinnan for accompanying these students through their performances on Saturday and all her coaching in preparation for the event.
