Greater Shepparton College (interim name) Uniform Vouchers

Uniform Voucher Process – Current Year 7 to 11 students.

Please read on for important information about the $200 uniform vouchers for 2020 Greater Shepparton College (interim name) students.

If you currently have a child in Year 7 to Year 11 at one of the government secondary schools you will soon receive a form and an information sheet about the uniform voucher process.

Parents/carers are asked to please fill in the form indicating your choice of uniform retailer for each child (the uniform retailer options will be on the form), sign and return to your current school.

Completed and signed forms need to be returned to your school by Thursday 19 September 2019.

Following receipt of the form, a voucher will be prepared for each child to the value of $200 in the name of the requested uniform retailer. The vouchers will then be provided to the four schools, and schools will arrange distribution.

The vouchers can then be redeemed from the nominated uniform retail shop.

Please ensure that you complete one (1)  form which will cover all of your current Year 7 to 11 students, so that your child/ren can be included in the $200 uniform voucher process.

If we do not receive a completed and signed form, we will not be able to factor your child’s needs in or issue you with the uniform voucher.

PARENT/TEACHER INTERVIEWS

A reminder that our end-of-Term 3 Parent/Teacher interviews will be held this year on Thursday 19th September, from 4.30pm to 7.30pm and again on Friday morning 20th September from 9am to 12 noon. Students are not required to attend school on this day, but are most welcome to attend Parent/Teacher interviews with their parents. School will resume Monday 7th October for Term 4.

YEAR 10 ELECTIVES FOR 2020

On Monday, 16th September, all Year 9 students will receive their 2020 Year 10 electives handbook along with a teacher sign sheet. The handbook will contain all the units being offered for Semester 1 and 2 next year. The teacher sign sheet is used for students to both receive counselling for their future units and also a teacher signature suggesting this unit is a suitable one for your child. On Thursday, 10th October, parents will come in with their child for a 10-15 minute interview with a counsellor to discuss their options and select these units online. We ask all parents of Year 9 students to call the Main Office to organise an interview time. This process will commence next Monday. Thursday, 10th October will be a student-free day for Year 9 students. Feel free to contact Mr Tanner if you have any concerns about this process.

BUS TRAVEL APPLICATION FORMS

A reminder to all parents and carers regarding completion of bus travel application forms for students at Greater Shepparton College (interim name) next year.

If you are planning to utilise student bus travel next year, a bus travel application form for your child/ren must be fully completed, and returned to either your current secondary school (or to McGuire campus if your child is commencing in Year 7 next year).  If a completed bus travel application form  is not received for your child prior to the end of Term 3, we will assume that you do not require bus travel for your child next year.

If your child has been a regular student bus traveller in the past or currently, you still need to complete the form so that we have up to date information about all student bus travellers for 2020 please.

Information about bus travel, including worked examples of completed forms, is available from the Greater Shepparton College (interim name) school website:

https://www.greatersheppartoncollege.vic.edu.au/college-life/transport

Information regarding student bus allocations for 2020 will be made available during Term 4, 2019.
