YR 7 Softball

Throughout Term 1, the Year 7's have been participating in a lunch time Softball competition. After weeks of friendly competition, the grand final was played out between 7A and 7H. Year 7A emerged victorious on the day with an 18-8 win.

Year 7 students have also taken part in minor games including team building, ice breaker and problem solving activities. All tasks have been geared towards the students developing initiative, team work and motor skills, whilst developing relationships with their peers.

Year 7 students also took part in fitness testing this term, providing an initial assessment of their performance in a variety of tests to which they compare their results as the year progresses.

Students will commence Term 2 with major games, providing an introduction to a number of sports throughout.

MET Performance

On Friday 29th March, Tyler Phillips from MET Performance based in Melbourne came to present to our Year 12 VEC PE students. Tyler gave a 90 min presentation in the Visy Centre on the principles of Biomechanics (Area of study 1 Unit 3)

The students were energetic and actively involved in a range of physical activities that added to the practical reflections that students had completed in their normal theory classes.
