Shepparton Education Plan

Following the announcement from the Minister for Education regarding the transition plan in moving towards the new school, there have been a range of questions that students, staff and parents have. I will be running a series of forums for each of these groups in the coming weeks/months, with the first of these being open to parents.  This will take place next Wednesday, May 8th at 7.30pm in the staffroom.  All are welcome to attend.

Grade 6 Information Nights

The dates for these are being confirmed later today, and will be publicised through Primary School newsletters and in the local media.  For those of you with a child in Grade 6, I encourage you to attend one of these sessions to learn more about the Year 7 program that will be in place in 2020.

BMX National Championships  20th – 25th May

The BMX National Championships will be held at the BMX track behind our school from the 20th - 25th May. Greater Shepparton Council has advised that the event will create a significant increase in local traffic and that the bus loop at the rear of the school will not be available for the week.

Traffic management plan for the week will be:

- Bus pick up and drop off at the service road beside Wanganui school oval, adjacent to the McEwen Rd tennis courts. No parent pick up or drop off on this road.

- Parent pick up and drop off of students will remain the same, at the front of the school.

- Please be aware that the extra traffic will require patience and extra care when collecting or dropping your children off that week.

VCE Student's EDROLO Resource

At the end of last year, students in several VCE classes were requested to register for EDROLO - an online resource to support the teaching and learning delivered at school.

On March 31st, students who had not paid the $33 fee were blocked from accessing the resource. You are reminded that payment can still occur and below are the instructions for doing so. Please contact Ms Utber if you require assistance.

NAPLAN

On Tuesday 14th May, NAPLAN online commences for all students in Year 7 and 9. At Wanganui Park, the NAPLAN window for completing all tests will run for five days, winding up on Tuesday 21st. Please open the following link to read all about NAPLAN. There is a sample test that may be of particular interest.

Contact Ms Utber if you have any questions in regards to your child sitting the online tests.
