Grandparents Day

MCS Primary students welcome their Grandparents

To say we had a huge turnout is an understatement. The students enjoyed a picnic lunch, a quick tour of classrooms, cake was served and the afternoon was topped off by performances in a very packed Hall. The students have been working for a number of weeks on their Creative and Practical Arts performances. A favourite was the Verse Speaking with a poem written by Mr Inman. Staying Alive was an interesting choice for the Infants Choir and the percussion was on beat! Grandparents Day is a day that we get to show our gratitude for all that Grandparents do. I especially loved seeing Grandparents embracing students who did not have someone there with them. Community spirit is strong in Molong. I would like to acknowledge the feedback given about communication and the need for advance notice. This year we did advertise on our face book page, our school stream app and in the Molong Express, but next year we will ensure that important dates like this are advertised as early as possible, so family and friends can plan their visit. Your feedback is important to helping us improve.
