Hi,

Issue 7 of Scholastic Book Club has now been ordered and will be distributed to students as soon as it arrives. There will be a couple of orders which may take longer as they were placed after the deadline. I will notify the families involved.

During Term 4 Stage 3 students will be looking at establishing some study habits in preparation for entering Secondary school in 2020. There will be a note coming home to explain that students have access to online resources for a limited time. Students have responded well to the content they have experienced so far during Library lessons. It may be worth sitting with your child at home and looking through the modules on the website. Downloading some handy hints may be beneficial for a positive start to Year 7. The web address for the ELES Study Skills Handbook is: https://www.studyskillshandbook.com.au/ .

The wonderful and amazing models entered into the Book Week competition can be collected to take home. The winners have received their prizes. For those students who did not receive a place a ‘little something’ may be picked up with their entries. The Book Week display this year has delighted many visitors to the Library and the Molong Show. Well done to all involved!

As of next week, new books in our collection are to be featured on the MCS Facebook page. I hope this will make the school community aware of titles that their children may be interested in borrowing. Shortly Kinder will be able to borrow new books and it is hop that these books will be cherished while at home and returned to the Library in good condition.
