The STEAM Report

National Science Week done and dusted!

Thank you to all the students and teachers who participated in National Science Week 2019. We had a great time with a whole bunch of activities (see the activities above). It was great to see students share in the activities in their communities. Congratulations to Zeynep, Beyza and Rumeysa who won the engineering challenge, building the tallest tower using masking tape, spaghetti and ONE giant marshmallow!

ARGUS STEM x INQUIRY - TALK ABOUT THE WEATHER

The Argus community have been investigating the weather this past term, learning some key words and ideas as they associate and describe various aspects of weather. See below the works of the Argus kids as they drew different weather patterns and the difference between light and strong winds.

National eSmart Week upcoming in Week 8

The web is a great place to learn, be creative and stay connected. However, with one in five young Australians found to have been cyber bullied – and the many other challenges young people face online – it’s important we invest in giving our community the skills they need to be responsible digital citizens.

That’s why we’re participating in the Alannah & Madeline Foundation’s National eSmart Week along with hundreds of other communities, to show our commitment to building an eSmart Australia.
