PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

BOOK WEEK

What a fantastic week Book Week was for our school! It was great to see so many students involved and engaged in the activities throughout the week, especially for our dress up parade at assembly.

The door displays throughout the school were amazing! Thank you to our wonderful teachers for making the event a success. Congratulations to our students for their involvement and creative ideas! We would especially like to thank our families for coming along and being involved, it really makes our school come alive when everyone is together!

PRINCIPAL'S AWARD

Congratulations to Shannon for being our first recipient of the Principal's Award! Recipients of the Principal's Award are selected for their excellence in Caring for their Learning, Self, Others and School. Each recipient will also receive a gold token which will enable them to come along to an exciting event in Term 4 each year. Well done Shannon!

PLANNING FOR 2020

We are beginning to plan for 2020, with our Prep enrolments coming in and our planning for staffing not too far away. Sam and I will work with our leadership team, teachers and School Council to consider all the needs of the students for 2020. We will begin advertising jobs, including a Visual Art teacher and Language teacher at the end of this term.

If you know of any families who are interested in attending our school, please ask them to inquire at our office for the enrolment process.

PLAYGROUND

In the next few weeks our playground will be built! The builders have informed us that the playground will be completed in early October. This will be a great addition to our school and we look forward to seeing the students exploring the playground.

PRIVACY POLICY

NEW PORTABLE

Over the next few weeks, a new portable will be installed for our school which will be used in 2020. This will help with our increase in enrolments for next year. During installation, we will ensure safety for our students is paramount. We have liaised with the builders to ensure that portable adds to the look of our school and does not impact on the sandpit we have planned for the area. The portable will be installed at the rear of the administration building. Paths will be installed by the Department of Education to help with the traffic moving throughout the area.

LANGUAGE SURVEY

In 2020, our students will begin learning a Language, we would like your input into which Language we choose as a school. All year levels will be involved in learning the Language and we see it as a great opportunity for our students.

A survey link will go out to parents this term. Once we finalise the survey results, we will advertise a position so that our Language classes start in Term 1 2020.
