Deputy Principal's Report

Farewell to Students for 2019

As is often the case at this time of the year, we farewell our students and wish them well for the break. 2019 was quite unique given the circumstances that we face; as a result of the impending closure many girls are saying farewell to us for the last time.  This has added to the poignancy of the time as we often are only saying goodbye to our Year 12s in this manner.  As the girls go beyond the gate, regardless of what year level they are in, they go as Presentation People.  Having lived the charism as part of the PCW community, our wish is that not only have we had an impact on your life, but that the light of your lantern will continue to shine.  I consider myself very fortunate to have worked at PCW and experienced the strength of the community first-hand.  Whilst many girls leave us, we also hope that they see PCW as an institution to which they not only belong but form part of the fabric.  Those departing will be missed; those returning have a chance to leave their mark and add to the story one last time.

We wish all of our Presentation families a safe and joyous break.  This includes time with family and friends, time to rest and time to devote to the activities that we love.  We are blessed that the journey that we have taken this year, although difficult, has been with the community of PCW; your support, care and solidarity has been greatly appreciated.
