Principal’s Message

Super Heroes Day

Last Monday and Tuesday saw the whole school involved in a Super Heroes Day. It was great to see so many students, teachers and school leadership in costume. All funds raised go to support the Super Tee Project which provides Super Hero - themed hospital gowns at the Monash Children’s Hospital.

Hats

The student focus on SunSmart has been fantastic! It’s great to see all the students wearing hats while outside. It has also been great to see students who have forgotten to bring a hat coming cheerily to my office to borrow a spare hat for the day.

Class Placement Requests 2020

I am now opening the three week period for parents to contact me regarding concerns or issues that they may have regarding the class placements or student groupings for 2020. Last year I had around twenty-five pieces of correspondence from parents who were able to draw my attention to their thoughts. While I make no promise to accept all recommendations I do factor in all relevant aspect when working with the teachers to form class groups. Parents are advised that they are not to request particular teachers. The community should be assured that we do our very best to ensure that the best, on balance, decisions are made regarding class placements. Please email me on butler.glenn.d@edumail.vic.gov.au
