JAPANESE TEACHING ASSISTANT

 Welcome Yuna!

This week we welcome Yuna Nishizono as our ALT (Assistant Language Teacher) for 2020. Yuna is 21 years old and is majoring in Elementary education at Yamuguchi University, Japan. She is very well travelled, enjoys cycling, dance, travelling and hiking – she has even climbed to the top of Mt Fuji!

Students have been enjoying getting to know Yuna in class this week through her self-introduction presentation, and we look forward to learning much more about Yuna and also Japanese language and culture this year.

Yuna will be here every second week until the end of the year, alternating with St Alipius PS.

Welcome Misato!

This week we are very fortunate to have another Japanese student visiting our school, Misato Kusui. Misato is only in Australia (Ballarat) for two weeks and has travelled to many interesting countries. She is 22 and a university student from Osaka, Japan. She’s hoping to be a Japanese teacher and is here to learn Australian education and teaching methods.

Make sure to say “konnichiwa” if you see them around.
