District Country Carnival

Last Friday 14 students travelled to Grenfell to participate in the District Cross Country. Rain clouds were gathering prior to walking the course and the rain started with the first race.  All students gave their best efforts and are to be congratulated for their efforts as they ran in the rain and cold. The students attending were Isabella and Kirsten Piper, Carrie  and Fergus Smith, Elle McIntosh, Tristan and Kyle Pye, Hayden Croker, Emma Craig,  Jordan Grimson, Preston Harris, Deklan Friend. The first six runners from each event proceed to the next level at Western and five students were successful in gaining places.  Whilst the event is not timed we chose to record times for the first six places. All races were very close and saw some exciting finishes, with some of the six placegetters as little as 15 seconds apart.  A great effort from all students.

Mackella performs well at Gymnastics 

Congratulations to Mackella on achieving Western Region Gymnastics selection. Mackella placed 1st in her level overall, earning her a spot in the NSW CHS team to go to Newcastle in August.  This is the second time Mackella has been chosen for the team.
