There is also an opportunity to be part of the creative team, for those who would like to take on roles in lighting, sound, set, costume and promotions. If you are unable to attend an audition following the conclusion of school in Week 8, please see Mr Jonkov to schedule an alternative time. More information to be released soon…stay tuned!
Owain Bundock (Arts student/2020 Captain of Arts) & Rory Bundock (Arts student) have just been cast in the Western Australian Youth Theatre Company’s Fringe Festival production of Will.
The show is about a young boy’s struggle to cope with sudden fame and then the potential loss of it. He is forced to make some hard choices and it explores the question of “who is in charge of my body if I am not 18 yet?" It is being told through the eyes of 5 people involved in his life - Will doesn’t actually feature at all. The cast of 5 young men will perform from the 17 Jan- 2 Feb. Booking information to be released soon.
A massive congratulations to the Bundock brothers on their impressive success- we can’t wait to cheer them on at the prestigious festival event!

Calling All Lighting Enthusiasts
We are looking for students who are interested in learning how to plan and run lighting at the College for some of our school events and co-curricular activities. This is a great way to get involved in the arts without being ON the stage, get some hands on experience for future work or get your community service hours up while doing something fun with a great team.
If this sounds like you, or you would like more information, please pop into the PAC or email Miss Parkinson: Parkinson.firstname.lastname@example.org
Free Event, You're Invited!
As part of his third year at WAAPA, Josh is putting on a solo recital displaying his progress as a musician at the academy. It is a free event that is open to the public and he would absolutely love to share this experience with everyone in the Mazenod Community.
The recital is on Monday 11 November at 6:30pm at the Richard Gill Auditorium - WAAPA.
This invitation is also open to any students that wish to pursue a career in music, or just have a fascination with classical performance.

ALL auditionees will need to prepare 2 songs of their choosing. Please choose wisely in order to show off your vocal range, as well as characterisation for the role you will be auditioning for. Please choose 2 songs that are opposite in style and/ or tempo (for example, a ballad and a character song). They may be from the musical Jekyll & Hyde if you wish, but this is not expected.
SOME auditionees will be required to do a ‘movement’ audition. There is no dancing in this musical, however some ‘movement’ is required for particular roles. This section cannot be prepared and will be taught on the day. Please wear suitable clothing/ shoes for auditions just in case.
Auditionees for the role/s DR JEKYLL AND MR HYDE will also need to prepare the extra song: ‘Confrontation’ from Jekyll and Hyde the Musical (backing tracks will be provided for auditions and attached to audition pack for practice) Please note: This part can be played by
either one person or two. The preference of the director would be to find one person to play both characters. However, this is completely dependent on what is shown at auditions and can be up for interpretation. The difference between Jekyll and Hyde’s vocal tone and posture must be evident and shown during this song. Please find character list below and then fill out the following audition form and bring with you on the day of auditions. Please note that the ‘stage age’ is how old/ young you can look on stage, and does not necessarily refer to your actual age.
To book an audition, or, if you have any questions, please email the Director, Zoe Jay at email@example.com .
