Folio and Final Artwork

In Unit 3 of VCE Art, students spend a lot of their time working out their ideas in their Visual Folios. Senior Art students work within a theme of their own choosing, exploring materials, techniques and concepts.

Thinking processes are developed and refined in their Visual Folios and various technical aspects are explored. Students make use of the annotation process as a way of evaluating their progress towards a Final Artwork.

These are some examples of both Unit 3 Folio work and Unit 3 Final Artworks. Together the Folio work and Final Artworks make up the Unit 3 SAT result.

Students worked through the Creative Process in their visual folios. This process begins with a brainstorm, students then explore possible ideas and try out some materials, in this case, stencils and collage

The last part of the Creative Process is material refinement and the conceptual planning of a final artwork. These are some of the initial planning images. We look forward to seeing the final artworks.

Once the drawings were complete, they used the design process to come up with a CRAZY product to put into their carton. They were encouraged to "think outside of the carton" and come up with a unique product design.
