Moonlit Sanctuary:
The Keeper Club Holiday Program will be running again at Moonlit Sanctuary over the winter school holidays!
Moonlit Sanctuary is a Wildlife Conservation Park located in Pearcedale, and is a place where people can experience the rare and unusual animals that call Australia home. Moonlit Sanctuary is committed to raising awareness and educating people about these wonderful creatures and the need for their conservation.
One of the educational programs offered is the Keeper Club School Holiday Program. This is run by Education Officers and offers children hands-on experience with environmental activities, animal encounters and native animal care. They learn about the animals, their conservation and the environment, all with a focus on fun!
They are also running a Special Needs Keeper Club program on Tuesday, 5th July. The Special Needs Keeper Club program provides an opportunity for children who love animals but are unable to attend the mainstream Keeper Club program due to specialised learning or physical needs, and who may require additional support from a parent, guardian or carer.

Screen time and screen use are normal parts of life for most children and teenagers. The time your child spends watching TV and using computers, gaming consoles, tablets and smartphones can be part of a healthy lifestyle.
It’s all about making sure of two things:
- Children enjoy plenty of healthy, fun activities, both with and without screens, including physical activity, reading, creative play and social time with family and friends.
- When children do use screens, they watch or use quality content.
And don’t forget sleep! A healthy, balanced lifestyle for children includes enough good-quality sleep. Screentime checklist can be found HERE.
