2021 University/TAFE Open Days
Because of the ever-changing restrictions in place due to COVID, most of the University and TAFE providers have decided to offer Virtual Open Days, with many offering an additional on-site experience day as well. Please see attached the current list of dates and links to register for these events. Due to there being no on-site Open Days available last year, it is very likely all on-site events will be extremely popular this year and spots will be very limited, which is why I advise that everyone who is interested should register ASAP, so they do not miss out on these events.
Students are strongly encouraged to take the time to attend several different Open Days, as this will give them the opportunity to learn more about the courses they are interested in, allow them to ask any questions directly, check out the facilities and get a good understanding of the environment and atmosphere, as well as give them a point of difference to compare the different universities, which will help with their decision-making process.
There is a possibility that the dates and details may change for these events, so for current and up to date information, please make sure to register for the events and receive these updates directly from the institute.
Year 12 - VTAC and ATAR release dates
VTAC have released their application dates, as well as ATAR release dates for 2021. Year 12 students have already been advised of the below details and made aware that we will be providing further information and details about VTAC, SEAS and Scholarships during Term 3. All Year 12 students will also be booked in for a one-on-one career counselling meeting with myself to assist them with their post school options.
Students are also advised and encouraged to come and see me at any time if they have any questions or need assistance with University/TAFE prerequisites and preferences, information on Apprenticeships/Traineeships, resume or job information etc.
