Assistant Principals' Report

NAPLAN 

If your child is in Year 7 or 9, you would be aware that this week they have undertaken NAPLAN.  NAPLAN is really important for our school and the broader education system, as it provides feedback to us about how we are performing in our teaching and learning programs, leading to decisions about resource allocation and priorities for the College going forward. Your children’s performance in NAPLAN is a real indicator of the success of the system of education and the only consistent national measure we have.  

At Doncaster Secondary College, we are proud of our excellent participation in this set of tasks and appreciate the rigour with which our students approach it.  I am impressed with the learning behaviours we have witnessed this week with children able to demonstrate extremely high levels of self-management.  Well done Year 7 and 9 students!
