A Message from our Business Manager

School Finances in good hands

As I celebrate twelve months working with St Joseph’s, I thought I should take the opportunity to introduce myself to the school community. As a CEM Business Manager, I work at St Joseph’s once a fortnight supporting the school on all things finance. I have nine other schools in my portfolio and I love the work that I do. I’m not your typical qualified Accountant and, like you, I’m a parent of a catholic primary school and passionate about my child’s education.

Here at St Joseph’s I work closely with Michelle and the school board in developing annual budgets and setting fees to ensure that the school can continue to deliver programs and operate within the funding that the school receives. The school also relies on you, the school community, to play your part in contributing through the payment of your school fees and levies.

This year has not been a typical school year and we understand that many in our school community are finding it difficult not only emotionally but also financially. We as a school are committed to working with our families to get through these challenging times. If you have any concerns about your financial situation, please reach out to Michelle so that we can explore confidentially financial support arrangements or concessions to help you.

Fee statements were issued this week and any camp levies that were allocated to your accounts have been removed. This means if you have already paid your fees in full you will receive a credit against your account and will be applied to fees next year. If you’re leaving the school at the end of the year, please request a refund by emailing Joanne in the office.

Until next time, take care and be kind to yourself

Sally
