HUMANITIES

ANCIENT HISTORY

For Humanities, 7G received a task to create a presentation on a topic related to Ancient Greece. We could work with a partner or by ourselves to research about the topic first and then create a visual presentation on the final, decided topic. For example, we could create a model of a traditional, ancient Greek house, or of the Parthenon. We could draw portraits of different Greek gods and goddesses and create venn diagrams to compare topics. It was a very interesting task and everyone enjoyed working on their project. It was also a very interesting and fun way to learn a lot about Ancient Greece.

Vasilia and Calum | 7G class captains

In Term 2, Year 7 students learnt about the Ancient History, including the Aboriginal history, the Copper Age and Ancient China. Students of 7G and 7E also explored Ancient Greece to finish off the term with a more hands on task. 7E had significantly less time in class to complete the task, but produced just as impressive products.

I am immensely proud of 7E and 7G students: of what they created for this unit of work, and of the skills they applied in classes throughout the term. Please see some of their work in the photo gallery.
