ART

Year 7 students undertook to learn about the colourful and vibrant artworks of the well-known Australian painter, Howard Arkley.

Taking their inspiration form his view of turning what he saw as the banal and hum drum suburbs of 1960’s and 70’s Australia, and transforming them into a kaleidoscopic array of colours and textures, they created their own view of suburban streetscapes.

The students applied colour theory and One and Two Point Perspective illustration to create these interesting works in acrylic paint on canvas.
