Changes to School Uniform Shop Operations

I would like to provide you with an update on the School’s plans for upgrading operations at its Uniform Shop.

Shop operations

Following the outcome of a recent review, the school has contracted Noone Imagewear to operate the Kinross Wolaroi School Uniform Shop from the end of Term 3, 25 September 2020.

As one of Australia’s leading suppliers of school uniforms, Noone Imagewear currently supplies products for over 1,350 schools nation-wide, including retail management for over 200 schools and the operation of 68 on-campus uniform stores.

Benefits of the new arrangement will include:

  • A new retail shop fit-out to be completed during the next school holidays
  • Continuation of the full ‘on campus’ uniform retail shop operated by experienced staff trained in fitting techniques and personalised customer service
  • Individual fitting appointments for all new students
  • Extended trading hours during peak periods
  • 24/7 online shopping with next day click-and-collect or Australia Post delivery
  • Continuity of colour, quality, sizing and style across all uniform products.

Online ordering will provide families with 24/7 access to make uniform purchases 365 days a year with options for home or on-campus delivery.  Due to the availability of online ordering, from Term 4 the Uniform Shop will be open three days per week, with opening times to be advised soon.

From Term 4 the Uniform Shop will no longer sell stationery and toiletry items as these are easily purchased outside school hours or online. Emergency toiletry/sanitary items will continue to be available as required from the Health Centre during the school day.

Alternative arrangements will be available for boarders who need to make any unexpected purchases.

Secondhand clothing

The Uniform Shop will continue to offer a range of secondhand items on consignment. The school also supports the ‘KWS Community buy/sell/giveaway school related items’ Facebook page as a forum for sourcing second hand uniform items from the school community.

Staffing changes

Last, but certainly not least, Gail Pearce (Shop Manager) will be leaving the School at the end of term. Gail has provided a warm and friendly welcome to our families and students in what is often their first on-campus interaction with the school. We wish Gail all the very best.
