Kids’ Lit

Last Friday, the 31st of July, eight students from Years 5 and 6 (Sam Balcomb, Freya Stacpoole, Jack Dale, Joe Dunworth, Lily Moe, Ryan Everett, Kaydn McLachlan, April Englund) represented the KWS Junior School in the virtual Newcastle Kids’ Lit Heat. They fought valiantly against thirty other primary and high schools. I was very proud of the collaboration, communication and compromise that these students displayed throughout the day and their amazing knowledge of all things literature related. Team 1 finished the day with 47.5 points, while Team 2 followed closely behind with 42 points.
