6 Event Athletics Championships

Congratulations to McLachlan House for taking out the inaugural 6 Event Championships this year!

In 6 Event each event is worth a scaled score between 30 and a total of 100 points depending on the time and or distance achieved. 100 points is a distance or time that was very close to breaking a school record in that age group and scaled back down to a minimum of 30 points. The winning House is the one that has the highest average score. To achieve an overall score in the 400 range is a very good achievement while a score in the 500 plus range, the “500 Club” is exceptional.

Congratulations to the following students who achieved this milestone this year.

  • William Payne (B) 500pts
  • Hayden McKenzie (B) 501 pts
  • William Garard (D) 502 pts
  • Spencer Johnston (G) 506 pts
  • Charlie Davis (G) 523 pts
  • Maxwell Horne (D) 528 pts
  • Charlie Swift (M) 547 pts
  • Oscar Chandler- Sullivan (B) 565 pts
  • Oliver Garard (D) 580 pts.

Congratulations to the following Age Group Champions

  • Jude Jansen (G) 410pts

K-6 House Football Tournament

A reminder that this tournament begins next Monday 17th August. All students have been placed in a House team and will participate in at least one 20 minutes small sided game each afternoon. While not performing on field students will be cheering on and supporting their fellow House mates in other games nearby.

All students will be required to wear full PE uniform to school on Monday and Wednesday. Long football socks are permitted and will be worn over as their own shin pads which they will require to participate. Football boots are not compulsory but highly recommended as the grounds can be slippery and often muddy.

We are looking forward to another great tournament where students benefit from fun exercise with their friends and House mates.

HIIT Morning Sessions

A couple of places have opened up in the morning HIIT sessions. If you would like your child to participate on Monday and Wednesday at 8am in the gym please contact Miss Sarah Simkins via ssimkins@kws.nsw.edu.au.
