Start up Strings

Time to ZOOM on!

The String teachers were thrilled with the progress of our Start up Strings class at

the end of term 1 and it was disappointing to have to lay down instruments for a term.

We are excited that our Start up Strings players have the opportunity to

continue their learning in Term 3!

Year 3-6 students have continued to receive individual lessons remotely with their

instrumental teachers, via Zoom, throughout Term 2 with great success. The results

achieved have been quite surprising to both parents and instrumental teachers.

Following this success we are excited to be able to offer online individual lessons for

our beginning players.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

*Students will receive 4 remote lessons using Zoom

* Each lesson is for 30 minutes once a week.

*Families will be contacted by their violin or cello teacher to arrange a suitable time

for the lessons. This might need to be a flexible week by week arrangement until we

know what school and family commitments will be.

*Instruments will probably be out of tune by now. Liz Bonetti who lives close to the

school is happy to tune your instrument (safely) by arrangement before lessons start.

*Cost of 4 week Individual Remote Lessons $160 (no instrument hire this term).

*Upon completion of these lessons a further 4 lessons will be offered to complete the

term.
