Dear Parents, 

What a surprise to find ourselves once again learning online! This is such a challenge for our students but one we feel they are up to. 

We started making our puppets at school and were starting to build ideas and a repertoire of songs to use with our puppets when completed.

So for the beginning of this term we will continue to learn the songs we had in mind for term 3. Most songs have a link so we can post them for your use. Please sing along with your children if you so happen to find the time. Singing is so valuable, as we have seen during our last lockdown. 

We will have a few extra activities to keep up formal music skills and to broaden the context of music making (e.g. Where is this happening in the world? How are the instruments different to ones we are used to seeing here in Australia?)

Years 5 & 6

We have been so impressed with how well our students used the Excel Spreadsheet for the first round of voting for Battle of the Bands. About 90% of all year five and six students have voted.

Next week they vote again for the top 12 favourites, and in Week 3 they will vote for the final two most popular songs for their class.
