Indonesian/Visual Arts

Selamat pagi,

Selamat datang kembali di sekolah! Welcome back again at school! I am very delighted to 

see all our students and staff, learning together again at school. In this final term of 2020, the Indonesian/Visual Arts learning program will provide opportunities for our students to practise their Indonesian language and express their ideas through art creation. 

In the Senior levels, we will look into an Indonesian traditional house called “Rumah Honai” and explore visual arts construction techniques using recyclable materials. The students will practise the Indonesian language to describe the features of the house, the materials, and the process involved in creating their art.

In the Junior levels, our students will practise the Indonesian language to describe our natural environments such as trees, flowers, grass and leaves. They will also practise a simple printing technique to create artworks which are inspired by our nature. Please find below the snapshots of the students’ work in progress…
