NEWSLETTER ENTRY FOR DECEMBER 2022

Real Industry Job Interviews

Congratulations to our year 9 students and some year 10 students who participated in the Real Industry Job Interview program hosted at the school in November.  Volunteers from several industries attended the school to ‘interview’ our students to provide students with an authentic experience of a job interview.  Each student received feedback from the volunteers.  Students were challenged, but seemed to enjoy the opportunity.

Year 10, 2023 Work Experience

Current year 9 students have been briefed about the 2023 work experience program and students can start to think about where they would like to complete a placement in 2023.  The two-week block is confirmed for Monday, 17 July through to Friday, 28 July 2023.

If you know of an organisation keen to host one of our students, please forward the Expression of Interest link to them! Places in health/trades/law/design and media are often sought after.

Expo Dates for 2023 - 23 May

Our second annual Wurun Senior Campus Careers Expo will be held at Wurun for Year 10, 11 and 12 students on Tuesday 23 May, 2023.  Representatives from tertiary institutes, industry organisations, social enterprises, apprenticeship and training organisations will attend. 

2023 National Careers Week

2023 National Careers Week will take place from 15-21 May 2023.  Watch this space for more information about how we will celebrate National Careers Week. There are some great careers resources at the Careers Week website. Go to https://careersweek.com.au/
