Ulumbarra Theatre Speech Night Update

We are incredibly excited to get back to our regular Speech Night events.  Rehearsals are well underway for 2022, with the Speech Night events to be conducted on three consecutive evenings at the Ulumbarra Theatre at 10 Gaol Rd in Bendigo:

  • Junior School Years 3 to 6 - Tuesday 6th December at 6.00 - 7.00 pm approx.
  • Senior School Years 7 to 9 - Wednesday 7th December at  6.00 - 7.30 pm approx.
  • Senior School Years 10 to 12 - Thursday 8th December at 6.00 - 7.45 pm approx.

All students from Years 3 to 11 are required to attend. However, students with exceptional circumstances can request permission to be absent; please apply in writing to Dr O’Rielly.

As seating is limited, we will also live-stream Speech Nights this year. Live-stream links will be provided in due course.

How to book tickets: GoTix

Speech Night is free of charge; however, tickets must be reserved online via GoTix to facilitate seating. Tickets may also be obtained in advance in person from The Capital Theatre Box Office at 50 View St, Bendigo.

The Ulumbarra Theatre contains adequate seating for two guests per participating student. You do not need to book a seat for your student as they will be allocated a seat with other students.

If you would like more than two tickets per participating student, please join the waitlist for up to two additional tickets. In previous years, the majority of waitlisted guests were granted a seat, however tickets released from the waitlist will not be located next to the original allocated tickets and will be confirmed in the week before the event. If you are required to cancel pre-purchased seats, please call the Capital Theatre Box office on 03 5434 6100.

All unreserved seats will be released on Monday 28th November to families on the waitlist. From 9.00 am on Thursday 1st December, booking restrictions will be lifted for remaining seats.

We ask parents to please consider the needs of other families and attend the event they have booked. This will help avoid spare seats that other families would have gladly reserved.

Please note, seats for each Speech Night must be booked separately as each evening is treated as an individual event.

Tickets will be available from 9.00 am on Tuesday 8th November. Please book your Speech Night tickets via https://www.bendigoregion.com.au/arts-culture-theatres/event/girton-grammar-speech-night-2022, or in person at The Capital Theatre Box Office at 50 View St, Bendigo. Note: please copy and paste this link from the email rather than clicking on it.
