Colour Run

Finally! The day we were all waiting for arrived last Friday, Colour Run day! The rain rolled in around midday but we remained optimistic for a break in the clouds at 2:30. Following a few years of cancelling special events due to covid restrictions, we were determined to come together as a school community for a colourful celebration, and the rain didn’t dampen our spirits.

Armed with buckets of colour, 25 volunteer parents waited at their stations in the rain ready to decorate the students. 1305 won the honour of being the first team out of the gates having raised the most funds so far, soon followed by the rest of the students in their buddy class teams.

For the next 20 minutes, our colour runners ran excitedly through the rain, weaved through sticks, hopped through hoops, leapt over hurdles, dodged the teachers waving pool noodles and got absolutely covered in colour! So much fun!

Thank you to Kylie Robinson who worked tirelessly to create and set up a fun, safe Colour Run course for our students and volunteer parents. We appreciate the detail and care in her organisation and communication with our staff. Thank you to our Parents and Friends group for their time and valuable input into planning the event, and our parent volunteers without whom we couldn’t have a Colour Run!

A big thank you to our Leadership team, teachers and support staff for their amazing flexibility and support around the whole campaign; adapting schedules to include fun spot prize draws, first aid, wrapping prizes and most importantly..... embracing the rain and mess on Colour Run day!

Thank you to our sponsors for donating awesome prizes:
