From the Leadership Team
Dear families,
Thank you for your incredible support of our recent fundraising campaign. It has been an overwhelming success and the positive responses we have heard regarding the ease of sharing the fundraising platform with family and friends have certainly made this an opportunity for wider community engagement. The students had an absolute ball despite the weather.
End-of-Year Student Reports
End-of-year reports will be released on the Parent Portal once again on Wednesday, 14 December at 3:10 pm (to the email address we have recorded on file at school). We encourage parents to ensure their correct registration and familiarise themselves with the portal. Please view the following attachment for more information:
Site Improvement Plan Update
We have been focussing our work this year on increasing high band retention in Maths and Reading. We are very proud of our achievements this year in achieving our targets for High Bands in NAPLAN - Year 5 and would like to share our progress with you. Below shows the targets set, as part of our Site Improvement Plan. Our results are steadily improving and show we are on the right track and this is a credit to the dedication and hard work that the staff at Greenwith Primary School put in every single day.
Overall our NAPLAN data continues to show growth, particularly in Year 3 and in Year 5 in both students achieving the department's Standard of Educational Achievement (SEA) and students achieving in the High Bands.
2023 Kindy Transition Visits
It was great to see our 2023 Foundation Transition students on their transition days earlier this term. The students were able to experience some class time with teachers in the 13 Block and they all enjoyed their visit.
Thank you to Jacqui Isgar for her thorough planning and leadership and to all our students involved in welcoming our new Foundation students. We believe these visits are very important for the children to become familiar with the school expectations, routines and surroundings and we look forward to having them as part of our school in 2023.
Resource Centre
Week 6 is the last week for student borrowing in the library. Please help your child to return any borrowed books to the library by Friday of week 7.
The Premiers Reading Challenge certificates and medals will be handed out by Sonia Howard to our students this term. This is a great time to recognise the importance of reading in our lives and how books can provide such a rich source of enjoyment. Thanks to Sonia for her organisation and all our teachers and students who support and participate in the annual challenge.
Congratulations to the 342 students who successfully completed the ‘Premier’s Reading Challenge’ this year!
A special congratulations to the year 6 students who have completed the challenge every year they have attended primary school and have been awarded a ‘Hall of Fame’ medal:

Polling Outcome
Thank you to everyone who responded to the 2023 M&S Charge Polling Process which we did online for the first time and received a record 222 votes.
The Poll was successful with Yes Votes totalling 140 which gave us the majority of support. The poll was conducted in accordance with the Education and Children’s Services Act 2019.
The 2023 Materials and Services Charge of $355.00 per student is now compulsory and therefore fully recoverable.
Once again thank you for your support.
