Principal's Message

Dear parents, students and the wider community,
Last week began with Mrs Trickey and Bridie back at the front desk. It was lovely to have her back for a couple of days while Mrs Trower and Mrs Wain were away.
On Thursday we received many jars for the Market Day. Thank you to all the families who sent in wonderful jars full of goodies. The children had a lovely day in their coloured clothes. The team are now looking for helpers and have sent sign up sheets on Seesaw.
It was lovely to have the break over the Cup Day weekend. I hope that your family used this time to make some memories. During this time the Church celebrated All Saints and All Soul's days.
We pray for the strength of the Saints to help guide our lives and for the souls of our departed, may they find peace in Heaven. Amen
Tomorrow, Friday 4th November some of our Year 6 students will be representing the school in a Hoop Time Basketball competition. Thank you to Mrs Ary for organising this day and to the staff who will be supporting her tomorrow. It should be a fun day!
As we are mid-way through the term I wanted to remind you of the St Anne's Way.
Be Kind - be a bucket filler, be kind with your words and actions, be respectful.
Be Ready to Learn - have full body focus, be organised with your belongings, be present centered and grounded.
Be an upstander - seek and give help when needed, know it's okay to speak up for yourself and others, make our school a safe place
We use these 'BE' statements in all the work we do with the children and their behaviour.
Looking forward to next week, staff will continue to have time released for end of year testing of children's learning.
We have our first of four Orientations for 2023 Foundation children next Thursday and we can't wait to see you all.
God bless
Sally Thomas
Deputy Principal
