Pauline Dinale

Dear St Margaret Mary’s Parents and Carers,

Staffing News

May I take this opportunity to update you on the following staff changes:

FAREWELL

Mrs Pina Roppolo - Mrs Roppolo has announced that after 2 years of teaching at St Margaret Mary’s she will be taking up a new Religious Education Coordinator position at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Primary School, Kensington. Pina has made a significant contribution to St Margaret Mary’s during her time on staff and will be greatly missed by staff, students and families. She will be remembered for her outstanding teaching and dedication to all the students that she has taught, her gentle way with the students and her passion to share her faith and the “Good News of Jesus”. We thank her for the spiritual nourishment she has brought to StMM community. Thank you, Pina.

Currently, Sydney Catholic Schools are in the process of recruiting a new Religious Education Coordinator. The announcement of the new REC will be made as soon as possible.

Mrs Anne Culhane - Good bye and Good Luck to Mrs Anne Culhane. Anne has been on leave since Term 3 and has decided to retire from full time teaching and will pursue her career in a casual capacity. I would like to thank Mrs Culhane for her many years of service to the students and families at the school and wish her all the very best for the future. Thank you Anne for sharing your love of literature and passion for storytelling. Good Luck, Anne.

Mrs Belinda Antaw - Goodbye to wonderful Mrs Antaw and thank you for another terrific year of teaching. Mrs Antaw has been teaching Year 4 and they, including co teacher Mrs Culhane, have really enjoyed teaching and learning together. Mrs Antaw has accepted a full-time Mathematics teaching position at St Patrick’s, Strathfield. We thank Mrs Antaw for her outstanding contribution to the Mathematics Enrichment programs at StMM. Farewell and Best Wishes!

Mrs Karen Hutchinson - Good bye and Good Luck to Mrs Karen Hutchinson. Karen has  worked tirelessly for many years at StMM in the capacity of Literacy Intervention and Diverse Learning. After several decades of devoted service to Catholic Education, Karen has decided to retire from teaching to spend more time with her family and friends. Colleagues, students and parents will forever be grateful to Karen for her care, compassion and understanding of students' learning needs. Thank you Karen for sharing your gifts and expertise.

Mrs Julie Traylen -  After several years at St Margaret Mary’s, being of service to the community through her passion for Art, Mrs Traylen will be leaving her current position as Creative Arts teacher. Hopefully we will continue to see Julie at StMM in the role of casual relief teaching. We wish Julie all the very best and thank her for the fabulous teaching and learning opportunities in Creative Arts, in particular, the beautiful and inspiring artworks for the P&F fundraising. Thank you, Julie.

New Principal Appointment - As you may be aware, I will be leaving my beloved St Margaret Mary's community at the end of the year to commence a new role as Principal at Holy Family, Lindfield. Currently, Sydney Catholic Schools are in the process of recruiting a new principal. An announcement to our school community will be made as soon as possible.
