Parent's Association

Like most of the world, it has been a different few months for the volunteers of the Marlborough Parents Association. I hope we were able to make the early Term 2 days more enjoyable for the students with Star Wars Dress Up Day, Crazy Hair Day and the Virtual Disco. I know the Croydon Brewery beer tasting helped a number of parents through the lockdown. So far this year we have managed to raise $1,300 for the school. Not what we had planned for but a great effort given the circumstances.

Early in the year, the PA made the decision to start cancelling some events and rescheduling others to later terms. Unfortunately it looks like this year many more events will need to be cancelled, rescheduled or be done differently. With restrictions on events and home schooling back we currently plan to run the following events in Term 3 & 4:

12th August - Sports Dress Up Day
14th August - Virtual Chocolate Tasting Experience Fundraiser
21st August – Photo Competition
10th October - Trivia Night - In person/virtual depending on restrictions at the time.
19th-23rd October - Coin War
22nd November - Vision Portraits.

Every year lots of companies and people support our school with donations. Right now a lot of those companies are struggling. If you're after something different for dinner, looking for a garden/home project or would just like to treat yourself to something special, why not check out these businesses who have generously donated to our school for future events. Whilst a lot of our sponsors are unfortunately closed, the below are still open for takeaway and to pick up supplies.

Vision Portraits - Sunday 22nd November

We are excited for Vision Portraits to be coming to the school again on August 30th, sessions are 20 and 15 min sessions from 9am till 4pm. For $20 you will receive one 10” x 13”photo print of your choice & frame.$20 is donated directly to Marlborough for fundraising.
