LITURGY NEWS

Next Wednesday, 3rd July, 5CH and 5S will have the opportunity to attend Reconciliation.

MINI VINNIES- Winter Appeal

As the cooler weather implodes on us, it is important that we also think of the needs of others who may need our help and support this winter. If you have any unwanted warm clothing (adult or child) or blankets that you would like to donate, the Minnie Vinnies group would be happy to collect them. The items will be passed onto the St Vincent de Paul Society who will be responsible for distributing the items to those in need in our local Tamowrth community.

FIRST EUCHARIST

Congratulations to all the candidates who celebrated the Sacrament of First Eucharist last Saturday and Sunday. This was such a special occasion for 86 candidates, their families, and the parish community. The children were absolutely divine in the way they presented themselves and in the way they were dressed. We thank our parents for their support in ensuring that the children’s attire truly reflected a ‘sense of the occasion’. A very big thank you and special mention must go to Fr Chris for the manner in which he made both Masses so meaningful and special for our children, their families and all in attendance. Thank you also to the Altar Servers and the Parish choir for supporting our children and for the many members of our Parish and school who have been praying for our children. Mrs Dickie, Mrs Roberts, Miss Mierau, and Miss Giddy also need to be thanked for ensuring that our students were well prepared for this important occasion. We pray that this is the first of many encounters our children have with our Lord Jesus, as they continue to seek to become regular participants at Mass each week.

INFANTS LITURGY 

Next Friday 5th July (last day of term) there will be an Infants Liturgy (Kindergarten - Year 2) at St Nicholas Church beginning at 9.30am. We invite all of our parents, families and friends to attend.

GRANDPARENTS DAY

One of the happiest and biggest days on our school calendar! Grandparents Day will be celebrated on Friday 26th July (Week 1 Term 3). We would love to invite all of our Nans, Pops, Grans and Grandpas to come along and join us on this special day where we have the opportunity to celebrate and give thanks for these special people in our lives.
