ESSENTIAL ASSESSMENT ROLLS OUT IN YEAR 7

Over the past couple of years, data collection has been a key focus at McKinnon SC to identify and promote student learning. In 2020 and in the future, our focus shifts to differentiation in the classroom and supporting students in their zone of proximal development to enhance numeracy growth rates of all students at McKinnon SC. 

We are very excited to introduce Essential Assessment to McKinnon SC this year for all Year 7 Math students. Essential Assessment will be employed as a maths screener to identify where individual students are placed in their journey of mathematics and numeracy.

Students may be required to complete extra work and may require extra support from parents.

We look forward to working with all Year 7 math students, parents and teachers embarking on using Essential Assessment this year and making it successful differentiation tool for McKinnon SC.
