SENIOR GIRLS CRICKET

Last Thursday, 13 February the McKinnon Senior Girls Cricket team played their first match of the Kingston Division against Brighton Secondary College. After a fantastic opening partnership between Emma Langley and Emily Daemen, Kampi Nainhabo came in and scored the winning runs from two powerful pull shots that went for four!

The second match was played against a more challenging Bentleigh SC side - they had an Australian representative and a range of good bowlers, keeping our girls to 31 runs from 10 overs. Not having a great lead, the McKinnon girls did a tremendous job in the field, with some tight fielding and excellent bowling particularly from Emma, Emily, Taylor Fischer and Kampi, however, Bentleigh scored the winning runs with 12 balls to spare.

Thanks for a great day in the heat girls and here's to getting another chance next year to advance!
