2023 Staffing

We would like to congratulate Miss White and her husband David on their marriage over the Summer holidays. Miss White is now Mrs McBride. Congratulations.

We would like to welcome Miss Leah Stephan, Mrs Wendy Giovanniello and Mrs Linda Novinic to our staff. 

Miss Stephan has been employed as the Year 3/4C classroom teacher. She comes to us from Tarneit Primary, where she has worked for the past 4 years. 

Mrs Giovanniello has joined our office team and will assist Mrs Donna Belden (new Business Manager) in her office administration role. 

Mrs Linda Novinic has joined our Education Support (Ed Support) team. Mrs Novinic will be working in various classes across the school, supporting student learning.

Town Bus

Unfortunately, Christians Buses will be no longer running the Town Bus service after Wednesday 15th of February. This decision is outside of the school's control. Please contact them directly if you have any questions regarding this decision. 

XUNO FORMS in Events

This week we have digitalised our Publications/Media, Headlice and Local Excursions consent forms for parents to complete. 

You will not have received a notification on the app so please check the Events tab. Any new users who require assistance can contact the office and ask to speak to Mrs Belden, after Wednesday.

Student Voluntary Contributions and Parent Payment Policy will be uploaded early next week. 

From the Principal

Welcome back for the 2023 school year. This year we have welcomed 25 new students, including 16 Preps. We send a warm welcome to the new families joining our BPS community. The staff and I hope that you have all had an enjoyable Summer holiday and enjoyed time with your friends and family. 

This week's newsletter is brief and is just to provide you with some dates and important information. Our fortnightly newsletters will commence next week. 

In 2023, class teachers will be sending out fortnightly classroom updates around the planned learning that will occur in each class over a fortnight period. This information is provided to parents, so they are aware of the learning that is occurring, provide reminders about dates and notes, and provides an opportunity for parents and their children to talk about learning at home. These updates are not individual updates on your child. If you wish to discuss your child's learning, we hold Parent / Teacher interviews in Term 1 and 3, and you are always welcome to make a time to discuss your child's learning any other time throughout the year. 

The school will continue to use XUNO as are main form of communication with parents, including reminders, updates, notes, attendance, excursions and payments. Invites have been sent out to new families. If you are having issues with logging into the app, please contact the office and we will try to assist. Please note, we will not be putting reminders or updates on the school Facebook page. 

I would like to remind parents that my door is always open, should you need to speak to me. Please contact the office or drop in to make a time. I look forward to seeing you all again and chatting to our new families over the next few weeks.
