Online Resources in the Library
Nazareth College’s Library has many online resources to help support student learning.
Here are the main ones:
AccessIT is Nazareth’s Library system. It is accessible both on campus and online. Students can use it to browse the Library’s many resources and use their Single Sign On details to access their borrowing details and reserve books. The Topic Search tab guides students towards resources relevant to their current topics of study, especially in Humanities and Science subjects. Recent topics include the Industrial Revolution, Water, Plate Tectonics and many others. Many helpful and topical websites have been added to the Library’s catalogue. Attached is a handy guide to using AccessIT.
Nazareth is subscribed to BorrowBox and it is fully integrated into the Library’s catalogue. We have two library collections in BorrowBox: Middle Years (for Years 7 & 8) and Senior Years (for Years 9 – 12). BorrowBox has many eBooks and eAudiobooks available for students to borrow and reserve. The BorrowBox catalogue can be searched using AccessIT, or by going directly to BorrowBox. Links for the Middle and Senior Years Collections are on the AccessIT dashboard. Students log into BorrowBox using their Single Sign On details.
We’d be happy to hear any suggestions for eBooks or eAudiobooks to add to our collection. Many Year Level’s English text is available as an eAudiobook on this platform.
Nazareth has subscribed to Clickview for some years now. Clickview is a large repository of online educational videos and resources. Students can access this resource by clicking on the link on the AccessIT dashboard and using their Single Sign On details. There are many topical and curriculum aligned videos for students to view, as well as Movies and TV episodes. Clickview’s catalogue is partially integrated into the Library’s catalogue so many relevant Clickview videos will come up in an AccessIT library catalogue search.
