CAKE STALL

Last Friday the Year 6 class ran a cake stall. All students were asked to bring in something homemade to participate. There were a variety of things being sold such as cakes, brownies and biscuits.

The year 6 students really enjoyed making and selling their items. Almost $700 was raised, and all the money raised from the cake stall will be put towards the Year 6 graduation week.

Thank you to all of the teachers who helped run the cake stall and the parents and students who may have bought some of the year 6’s cakes.   Written by Blake

On Friday, the 25th of November all of the Year Six’s participated in a bake sale to raise money for the Year Six Graduation this year. We made cookies, cakes, slices, donuts, cinnamon buns and even more.

We had this bake sale not only to make money, but to work on our units in FBI. This bake sale included science and business by making the treats and selling them to our community. We all worked together as a team to pull off this bake sale and we couldn't have done it without each other.

We had a lot of fun baking, selling and seeing the look on peoples faces when they tried our magnificent treats. Not only did we make money to put towards graduation, but we made amazing memories and learned a bit more about baking and selling because of this bake sale.   Written by Emelie

Last Friday, the 25th of November, the Year 6s ran a cake stall! We were all awake at night on Thursday, baking muffins, cupcakes, biscuits, cookies and even marshmallow sticks. Yeah, you heard me. Marshmallow sticks! I brought a whole box of Marshmallow sticks and sold them for $1 and guess what? They sold out!

Treats and baked goods were flying off the tables. Gold coins were being handed left, right and centre. We might've been giving change to people from under the tables! Business was booming! From what I know, each group had at least one thing sold out and for my group, it was Marshmellow sticks. Molly, Paul, Tammy and I were selling our goods together on one of the tables. You might’ve seen us and maybe you bought something from us!

We all thought we’d make around $100 to $200 at the end of that day. On Monday, we all shared our predictions for how much we might’ve made and it was all around $100 and $200. I thought we’d make $300. But guess what, we made more than double that amount!

A total of nearly $700

Thank you to all who helped us raise so much money. We are incredibly grateful for all the support that was given to us on that special day. The St Mary’s community is amazing and we can’t thank you enough for all that money raised.   Written by Milica
