HOOP TIME - STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

A massive congratulations goes out to our Senior All-Star Girls Hoop Time team who competed at the State Championships on Tuesday 22nd November @ Dandenong Stadium.

The team consisted of Amy Scott, Bella Monaghan, Skye Lawless, Gia Hilton, Milly Surkitt, Eloise Tuohey, Bonnie Lagan & Scarlett Withington - with the guidance of Coach Tim Hilton.

Our Sacred Heart girls were one of 353 teams that registered throughout the state and were successful in their district and regional championships, qualifying into the top 20 teams to play at the State level.

The team started their day with a hard game against Derinya Primary School, however managed to win their next 3 games against St Thomas, St Raphael's and Yarra Valley - finishing 2nd in their pool and qualifying for the elimination finals.

The girls won their elimination final against Bimbadeen Heights, putting them into the top 8 teams within the state playing in the Quarter Finals. Unfortunately their victory streak finished there, losing to Hamilton Gray St Primary.

Overall the girls managed to come 5th in the state for Hoop Time and represented Sacred Heart fantastically on and off the court.

Another big thank you goes out to Tim Hilton for his excellent coaching and support, as well as all other parents (and siblings) who took time to come and support the girls!
