Good news - inside and outside the classroom

VCAL Students made bird baths and Ms Stewart's "Christmas Helpers" were kind enough to assist in selling them. A big thank you to Pulvirenti Tiles for supplying us with the colourful tiles.

Last week the bus shelter was Christmas decorated "bombed" by Wangaratta High School students.

Congratulations to the talented Hannah Stafford on her 2022 School Magazine (Yearbook) cover design. If you missed the opportunity in obtaining a copy, please feel free to email us and request one.

Congratulationsto Year 10 Student Zoe Baguley for being awarded the Inaugural Bob Iskov Scholarship. The scholarship has come to life after a few years of hard work alongside the Wangaratta RSL, particularly Bob’s son Craig. Zoe joins two other students on an adventure of a lifetime in 2023.

Emlyn Connor arranged a casual clothes day to raise money for Wheelchairs for Kids. The world over, millions of children with disabilities can’t get access to adequate wheelchairs, and the impact on their quality of life is profound. Many are forced to live on the earthen floor of huts or wait to be carried, making them more vulnerable to disease, malnutrition and armed conflict, as well as experiencing lower educational attainment and higher rates of poverty. Wheelchairs for Kids is a volunteer-based not-for-profit organisation providing the transformative gift of mobility to children in impoverished and under resourced communities both in Australia and around the globe. Well done to Emlyn, and to all of our students and staff as we successfully raised $263.50, which will pay for one wheelchair.
