Deep peace of the running wave to you

Deep peace of the flowing air to you

Deep peace of the quiet earth to you

Deep peace of the shining stars to you

Deep peace of the gently night to you

Moon and stars pour their healing light on you

Deep peace of Christ, the light of the world to you

Deep peace of Christ to you.

As we anticipate the end of an unbroken and extremely full School year, we Library staff would simply like to recommend one book as a “must read”, and a TV series for exquisite viewing.  Both book and series are suitable for the whole family.

The book is Runt, by Craig Silvey.

Mr. Silvey is an exemplary Australian writer who previous novels include Jasper Jones and HoneyBee, both Library staff and student favourites.  With Runt he has written a book bursting with joy, humour, wonderful characters and so much heart.  We cannot recommend it more highly.

A TV series with a literary relationship is “All Creatures Great and Small.”.

Seasons 1 & 2, both available on ABC iView.

James Herriot’s autobiographical account of being a Vet 1930’s Yorkshire in England is soothing, endearing television, and again, in our humble opinion here in the Library, compulsory viewing.

As we look back on our School year, thankyou everyone in our Monivae Community for your laughter, camaraderie, kindness and love.

Always remember the power of LOVE, come back safely and well to Monivae College as we look forward to embarking on a new School year in 2023.
