Senior Years and Wellbeing
What an amazing week we have just experienced and all ably organized by our wonderful SRC team led by Maddy Bradbeer and Sam Rowe.
The students devoured 350 slices of fairy bread, 250 cups of jelly and 200 sausages. They Zumba danced, loved the challenge of House Dodgeball, conga lined through the school, enjoyed random acts of kindness and face painting, competed in House Art, meditated and performed a whole school YMCA dance in assembly.
The week was topped off by a most entertaining College Has Got Talent. Our compares Sami Zehir and Jarrod Hurst should be looking at a professional careers in talent show hosting as they controlled the night with great humor (well sometimes) and a touch of showbiz class! Our judges Mr Arnold, Mr Singh, Mr Wilson and Ms McGill were just terrific with their witty and wicked comments. Many thought they were far too harsh on the teachers act though!
Special thanks must go to Jarman Oakley and his team for their incredible behind the scenes technical support. The night would not have been possible without Jarman, Marcus, Claire, Amy, Peter, Thomas, Jimmy and of course Mr Ben Hunter.
Well done to all our acts, how brave to stand up in front of your peers and perform. Our College really does have talent!

A number of staff and parents had the opportunity to hear Hugh van Cuylenburg speak in Casterton on Tuesday evening. Thank you to Mrs Georgina Sweeney for her efforts to bring Hugh to the district. Hugh is one of the founders of a program called the Resilience Project aimed at promoting positive mental health. It was an extremely engaging and informative evening. The link to the presentation is below.
