Meet Katrina Katz

Katrina is our new Leader of Student Wellbeing

Where did you work prior to joining Wantirna College?

I worked at Brentwood Secondary College and Box Hill Senior Secondary College.

What attracted you to becoming a teacher?

I love English and Psychology and I like working with teenagers.

What do you like about teaching?

I like doing all the things I love in the one job. Reading books, talking about the brain, working with teenagers, working on productions, going on camps. I like seeing how the students in my class develop and grow as learners as I love learning too.

What subjects do you teach?

English, Literature, Psychology.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I go to the gym, do yoga, go to the footy, read and watch TV.

Do you have any pets?

Yes a cat. She's a bit evil!

What football team do you follow?

Carlton. Have been a member since I was born and I go every week, even when we're doing badly.

What is your favourite book or movie?

Hard to name just one of each, but I'll go with 'Pride and Prejudice' as my favourite novel and the 'Back to the Future' Trilogy as my favourite movies. But a million more I wish I could write down!
